ONE BOT TO RULE THEM ALL
Automation. Robots helping us with everyday tasks. From vending machines and automatic doors to machines so versatile, they can go from building cars to watches! Robots cover nearly every field and can be used for nearly any task. Our core, Arkaprovo Ghosh for the Bot ‘n’ Brawl event, understands this rather well. When asked what his vision for the event
was, he said, “ I want to expose more students to the world of robotics and nurture their robot designing skills.”
We then wanted to know how he planned on increasing their robot designing skills. Arka being Arka had already thought about exactly what he needed to blend design and robotics together, “ We are making them compete against one an another in 2 separate arenas which tests the maneuvering skills of the student who designed the bot and the efficiency and combat skills of the bot itself.”
The model in which the event is structured truly does make the student think about multiple design aspects during the bots creation, from agility right to power and combat skills. We then asked him what he wanted students to get out of his event. “I want more students to be exposed to these kinds of competitive environments, to apply their knowledge and creativity
practically while preparing for the competition. Using practical education to help teach them more than what a classroom setting would have done.”
There clearly are enumerable benefits and things to learn from participating in it. Arka clearly has come up with multiple ways to test you and your robotics skill. So try your hand at “Bot ‘n’ Brawl”, and we shall see if your bot can beat them all.
